CCA, which fell out of favor when copper prices plummeted, has been in the National Electrical Code since 1971 and is now making a comeback.
CCA conductors are firmly referenced in the NEC as one of three conductor materials for use in 600V-2000V electrical circuits. NEMA Bulletin No. 122 highlights the most important code references for CCA.
