The ABA currently participates in the Codes & Standards-making process through its representation on NEC Code-Making Panel 6, as well as the conductor committee at ASTM. The ABA also holds several seats on Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Standards Technical Panels. UL is the standards-making organization that maintains product safety standards for electrical conductors.
